Chris Barry’s Boys is believed to have formed in 2015 as an excuse to do a Christmas pub crawl disguised as a musical act. The future of the band was cemented as they played ‘Last Christmas’ to a drunk middle aged couple fighting on an empty dance floor, and thus the vocation to perform sad bangers at festive occasions was cemented and the band has continued to expand like a small cult since.
As enigmatic and difficult to join as the Freemasons, Chris Barry’s Boys has grown to include a revolving crew of some of Dublin’s finest musicians, orbiting around the magnetic pull of it’s central figure, Chris Barry.
