Having worked together as members of Glasshouse, violinist-violist Andrew Sheeran and cellist Gabriele Dikciute formed Ikigai in early 2020, later being joined by multi-instrumentalist Ryan Hargadon. The group’s musical works are connected and inspired by a wide range of creative influences, from Radiohead, Max Richter, Jon Hopkins to contemporary classical music. They are also passionate about performing newly written works, having commissioned the piano trio ‘Melatonin in B flat’ from Irish composer Aran O’Grady.
