YE VAGABONDS
Ye Vagabonds are brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn. They started playing music together on the street in their home town in Carlow, until they moved to Dublin in 2012 and became known around the traditional Irish, blues and folk scenes in the city, playing folk songs as well as their own original material. Their blend of harmonic folk music is influenced by traditional Irish and European music, American old-time, and the music of the 1960s folk revival.
Their second album ‘The Hare’s Lament’ was released to critical acclaim in 2019. The album is a collection of traditional songs learned from archives, recordings, friends and family. The album received several awards including Best Folk Album & Best Traditional Track at the RTE Folk Awards 2019, where the band were also awarded Best Folk Group 2019.
